Sell your old iPad, iPhone, or iPod for money

Apple has consistently been designing, producing and marketing the latest and groundbreaking products – from the iPod, the iPhone and the newly-released iPad.

The iPod – When the iPod first came out in 2001, it revolutionized the way people listened to music. Before that, there was the Walkman and the Compact Disc player. They were bulky and heavy. You had to make sure you brought along lots of cassette tapes or CDs if you wanted to listen to different types of music from different artists. To change it up, people made mixed tapes and mixed CDs. Apple’s iPod made listening to music more fun and convenient for people – giving them the ability to store thousands of music in such a lightweight device was just what was needed. It’s no wonder why even though Apple has designed iPods to only be replaceable with a better model so that old ones have to be discarded, and its battery life lasts for an average of 2 years at best, consumers still line up in droves every time a new version is released.

The iPhone – The fact that the iPhone functions as a camera phone, including text messaging, visual voicemail, media player with e-mail and browsing capability and Wi-Fi connectivity, not to mention its sleek, modern design highlighted by its multi-touch screen interface all but guaranteed that it would be widely accepted by consumers. The latest version, iPhone 4, was just released last year and Apple reported sales of 14.1 million units as of October 2010.

The iPad – Apple sold 3 million iPad units within 80 days of its release in April 3, 2010. It’s a tablet computer that works as a platform for audio-visual media including books, movies, music and web content, using Wi-Fi connection to browse the internet. Like the iPhone and iTouch, it uses a multi-touch display. Already, consumers are waiting for news about new versions, hoping to see modifications and improvements to the well-liked iPad.

Over time, the advancement of these communications and entertainment devices from Apple has also contributed to the growing e-waste problem plaguing the U.S. That’s why it’s imperative that consumers, like you and me, do our part to mitigate this.

Additionally, even though Apple is consistently introducing new devices or improved versions of their existing ones, not everyone has the means to purchase them even if they wanted to.
